Identifying Samuel and Sarah Oates in the middle of the nineteenth century around Bradford is difficult due to the prevalence of each of those names in the Bradford environs in Yorkshire West Riding. Between 1826 and 1864 around 37 separate death records include the name Samuel Oates.
